Botarroble Añejo has been awarded the Vinavín Oro, being also distinguished as the best vinegar in the province of Huelva. It is a vinegar with eight degrees of acidity, aged in American oak boots that have contained fragrant wines, through the hatchery and solera system for a minimum period of 10 years.

Vinavín, the Association of Wine and Vinegar Lovers, has held the V International Vinegars Contest, which has taken place at the Palacio de la Merced, in Córdoba. This prestigious contest, unique in the world, is held every year, and for this edition it has had a committee of 23 expert tasters with international relevance.

The criteria on which the jury is based to rate the different vinegars contemplates a sum of the organoleptic harmony of the vinegars (visual, olfactory and gustatory), mainly giving priority to their raw material, their aging years and their acetic and sugar levels . On this occasion, 80 samples from 32 wineries from Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Argentina and Hungary have been presented.
